Our position

The questions come
before the funding.

Banks, investors, development funders and major clients now all ask for figures. How much do you emit? Who is accountable for risk, and on what data? ERGILYS builds those answers with your teams, sources attached, and makes sure they also serve your own decisions.

Our base

Abidjan, then
the whole of WAEMU.

The firm is based in Abidjan. We work in Côte d’Ivoire and in the seven other countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, for organisations whose banks, clients or funders expect a precise account.

Côte d’Ivoire

From the lagoon coast to the northern savannah, by way of the western forest and the hills around Man, the sites where your emissions, water withdrawals and risks are measured do not share the same constraints. An assessment or a footprint is therefore built from your own sites and their own data.

What leaders
ask us.

Our need is still unclear. Do we need a formal brief?

No. A first conversation is enough: it helps clarify your situation, the people involved and the outcome you expect. You can come with a simple question.

We have no ESG data. Where do we start?

With a maturity assessment. It shows what you already hold without realising it (energy use, headcount, incidents), what is missing, and in what order to collect it.

How long does an engagement last?

A diagnostic is shorter than an ESG transformation programme, which runs for 6 to 18 months. The first conversation is where we estimate duration and budget.

Do you work alone?

Not always. Depending on the engagement, we bring in audit firms, lawyers, technical experts or financial institutions. You keep a single point of contact.

Can you certify our report?

No. Certification and statutory audit are reserved for accredited professionals. We prepare your report for external assurance and work alongside those professionals when the engagement calls for it.

Do you guarantee that we will secure financing?

No. The decision rests with the funder. We improve the quality and clarity of the file, so that the discussion takes place on verifiable grounds.

What should we prepare for the first conversation?

A few points about your organisation, your subject and your timeframe are enough. No confidential documents are needed at this stage.

Does the first conversation replace a diagnostic?

No. It helps us understand your context and identify the next useful step. The diagnostic itself is a separate engagement.

How is an engagement defined?

Scoping sets out the objectives, deliverables, stages, contacts and terms of engagement before any work begins.

Can we draw on several areas of expertise?

Yes. One engagement can link strategy, governance, climate, data or training. The scope is built around your need, with a single team.

Do you train our teams in-house?

Yes. ERGILYS Academy offers role-based programmes: executive management, finance, HR, procurement, risk, internal audit, operations and communications.

What does a first carbon footprint cover?

Your direct emissions (scope 1) and those from purchased energy (scope 2), measured in detail. Scope 3, the value chain, gets a first estimate, refined in the years that follow.

Where do you work?

From Abidjan, across the eight WAEMU countries, Côte d’Ivoire included, on site or remotely depending on the engagement.
